Fatafat Curry

I work in the city and get back to East Brunswick late, so cooking authentic Indian food on a Tuesday was always a dream, not a reality. I tried Fatafat’s Shahi Paneer kit last week, and I am obsessed. The fact that the onions and base were already sautéed saved me a solid 40 minutes. I just added the paneer and cream, and it tasted exactly like the restaurants on Oak Tree Road but without the heavy oil/grease. Love that they use avocado oil too—my kids licked the plates clean! Definitely ordering more.

I’m usually very picky about my Paya and Mutton curries—store-bought mixes always taste flat or too salty. Fatafat is different. You can tell the spices are freshly ground, not sitting in a box for months. The best part is the 'Fatafat Boost' step. I like my curry spicy, but my wife prefers it mild, so being able to adjust the heat level right in the pan was brilliant. We made the Mutton Curry for a dinner party of 8 people, and it took me less than 30 minutes of actual work. Highly recommend!
